Spinach, Cheese and Sausage Dip

Creamy dip with Capistrano turkey sausage, spinach and mozzarella cheese. Ideal with crackers or bread.

Ingredients
1 Pkg of Chicken Franks Capistrano®.
1 medium white onion, julienned.
½ cup water.
4 cups of washed and stemmed spinach.
750 ml of milk.
300 ml of heavy cream.
7 oz of cream cheese.
5 oz of mozzarella cheese.
4 tbsp of vegetable oil or olive oil.
Crackers or crusty bread.

Step by step
Step 1
Slice the Chicken Franks Capistrano® into rounds and set aside. In a hot pot, add 2 tablespoons of oil and saute the sausages until they are browned. Remove and set aside.
Step 2
In the same pot, add 2 more tablespoons of oil. Once hot, add the julienned onion and saute for 5 minutes over medium heat with a bit of water. Cook for an additional 10 minutes.
Step 3
Add the spinach and cook for a few minutes. Add the milk and cream. Once it starts to boil, add the cheeses.
Step 4
Incorporate the sausages and cook for 3 more minutes. Serve in a deep bowl and accompany with crackers or slices of crusty bread.
